About Us

Harleysville Senior Center's mission is to provide access to programs and resources that help older adults live independently and remain active.

Incorporated in 1975, the Center first operated in Alumni Hall, a building belonging to Lower Salford Township.  In 1981, the Township purchased and remodeled a former factory, which has been the Center’s home ever since.

In 2007, thanks to a grant provided by North Penn Community Health Foundation, Harleysville Senior Center completed our 2008 - 2011 Strategic Plan.

The Center operates from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend programming.  Among the programs regularly offered are:

  • Health & Wellness Programs
  • Exercise & Fitness Classes
  • Long-Distance & Day Trips
  • Daily Lunch
  • Life-Long Learning Classes
  • Counseling & Referral Services
  • Cultural Events
  • Volunteer Opportunities
