Areas Of Interest Classes/Clubs

You are invited to attend any of the following regularly scheduled programs that meet your interest.  Class/meeting times are noted in the program descriptions.

Art Class

Get your creative juices flowing at our Monday afternoon art class.  Each week, at 1:00 PM, instruction is available in all media.  Each student works at his or her own pace, with individual instruction from Pat Wilson-Schmid.  Bring your materials; easels are available at the Center.  Members may display their work in the art hallway.  $1.00 class fee.

BINGO for Bucks

Bingo for Bucks is now held every Monday afternoon, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM (except if there is a special program on tap).  Cards are one dollar each, two games per card.  Light refreshments served.

Coin Club

Do you have some old coins you'd like to know the value of or want to get the latest in the series of State Quarters?  Coin Club is the place to be.  Stop by the 2nd Thursday of each month, at 2:00 PM.  Who doesn't love to talk about money?

Computer Classes

Would you like to set up an e-mail account so you can chat with your friends, children or grandchildren?  Are you interested in navigating the web or reading your favorite newspaper online?  How about writing a document in Word and inserting Clip Art?

If so, this class is for you!  Each mini-course lasts two weeks.  Dates are posted in current newsletter or you may call 215-256-6900 to find out the next class time.  Space is limited because of available computers; however, if you have a laptop you may join us regardless. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Tuesday Trivia

Where are French Fries really from?  Which US President had the most children?  When was the hot dog invented?  If you need to know, be sure to stop by the library Tuesdays, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM for mornings filled with brain-teasers and laughter.

Woodcarving

This class meets every Thursday at 9:30 AM and is open to anyone who enjoys working with wood or who would like to give it a try.  Instructor, Art Herbicek, is glad to show newcomers the ropes.  Donations accepted for materials as needed.
