Race Awareness

The topic of Race will be addressed as a function of its connection to Power and Control. The presenter, Tony Davis, will explore with the audience the various elements of the historical, social, and economic implications therein. Tony is currently a Counselor at Montgomery County Community College and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College of Columbia University.
This program is funded through a special grant by the PA Humanities Council.
Little Studies

The basis of Mark Hoffman’s discussion group is a series of pamphlets he wrote called "Little Studies" outlining a certain person’s approach to life and dealing with various topics. The June 19 meeting will focus on Thucydides. Materials will be provided the week of class. Registration required.

Independence Day Party

Bobbie will put together a special "July 4" luncheon in celebration of our country’s independence from England. Entertainment will be provided by Frank Davidock of the Occasions. Register in the main office. The $5.00 cost is for both lunch and entertainment. Note: Center will be closed on Friday, July 3.
Little Studies

Join a discussion group with Mark Hoffman using the series of pamphlets that he wrote called "Little Studies". Mark’s pamphlets outline a certain person’s approach to life which deals with various topics. No particular point of view will be pushed. The aim of this group is to stimulate thinking. The July 17th topic will be Beethoven, and the August 21st meeting will focus on Proust. Materials will be provided at the time of registration, which is one week prior to the class. Cost: FREE

eBay Classes

Dan will be focusing these classes on eBay selling only. Two computers are open for those who do not have a laptop. An eBay account and email account are required. Attendees must be able to attend all three classes. Registration is required.
Computer 101

This class is for beginners. It will provide an introduction to computers, how to use a mouse, learn computer technology and hopefully provide you with the skills so you can explore and surf the Internet.
